Jenkins – Install and Plugins

Install:

Jenkins document – https://jenkins.io/download/

Jenkins_Java

Jenkins_Install

Make sure port – 8080 is free as Jenkins listen on it.

I’ve installed nginx and configured as reverse proxy then we can access using public IP directly.

Create First User

Plugins ( this list needs continuous update ) :

Go to Jenkins -> Manage Jenkins -> Manage Plugins

  • As you can see above I’ve Installed all the recommended plugins including Jenkins Git Plugin, Ant, Maven, JaCoCo, Cobertura, Nexus artifactory etc.
  • As I want to pass parameters generated by one job to another installed – Environment Injector plugin and Parameterized Build plugins.
